Think you’re just limited to jobs at your local gym or fitness centre? Think again! Your qualification can open up a wide range of opportunities, and not just based in Thailand – it could take you all over the world!
Here are just some of the types of Personal Training jobs that you could look forward to after graduating:
The most common pathway for Personal Trainers is into a gym or fitness centre in your local area. Whether as an employee or if you rent the space for your own use, running sessions in gyms is a highly convenient, effective and successful way to make money as a PT. This is a great option for people who want to run regular sessions for their clients without the overhead costs of facilities and equipment.
Although this might take a lot more work, building your own Personal Training business from scratch can be the most rewarding aspect of your career as a PT. By doing things on your own terms, you have control of where you want the business to go. Whether it’s as your main source of income or to compliment another job, you won’t have to share your revenue with anyone else. Is the investment (both time and money) worth it? We’ll let you decide!
A more unique and alternative pathway for Personal Trainers is to join a hotel, resort or cruise company to run sessions for guests. If working within a hotel or resort, you’ll be fixed at the one location, providing consistency and potentially regular clients. Meanwhile, for those with a more adventurous side, working on a cruise ship will allow you to travel the world as a PT – sure sounds fun, doesn’t it?
Another pathway is to use your knowledge and skills of fitness and exercise to work with sports teams, amateur or elite. You’ll be able to offer your expertise in developing training programs to increase fitness and strength levels. Whether you work with individual athletes or an entire sports club, this can be an incredibly rewarding journey as you see your influence produce positive sports performances.
